The Long, Long Silence

Sat Nov 21, 2009, 6:28 PM
So we have been in our house for about a month and I'm sorry to anyone who has been waiting for responses and so on.

I try not to communicate too much while I'm working on things because it's so easy to get distracted but the auction commission is now done with, I just have to finish up a freebie that kept running away from me lol

Maybe there will be more to report soon, but for the foreseeable future I intend to catch up with friends and start work on a few family related pieces. I also need to renew my provisional permit, determined to have the real thing before my 26th birthday! How sad lol

Whilst driving me to distraction finding all manner of interesting (read dangerous, unhygienic) things to get into with this house, my 1 year old has also been very generous with affection - he even makes kissy sounds when he gives me a kiss too!

Ohh hi! and thanks!

I'm glad you stopped by, it gave me a better chance to look at your art. We came with a friend who isn't such an art enthusiast so I felt a bit rushed to see everything.

Have you done many cons before? Did it go well? :)
:icondoppelgangergrl:
This, I think, is either my third or fourth con (that I was on artist alley, I've been to 3 or 4 other cons before I started setting up shop). I usually sell about $400-$500 worth of buttons, but this year was pretty much a bust, I didn't even clear enough to cover cost of my table. Oh well, I enjoyed the con anyway. :P What about you? Have fun?

Oh I see, you are pretty experienced then ^__^

Sorry it didn't do so well, I spoke to a few people walking about and they seemed to feel the same way. I suspect that economy had much to do with it, I don't know if you went to Momocon (free) earlier in the year but it was so overfull it was dangerous. Fear of swine flu probably affected it too, we had made a costume for our baby but had to leave him at home cause we didn't want to risk him getting sick :(

I don't know how Dragoncon went but PAX had it pretty bad.

I still had fun though! Always get sparkly eyed to see artists stuff since everyone hides in the woodwork for the rest of the year, unappreciated by greater society lol

I hope future cons will be better for you!
:icondoppelgangergrl:
:glomp:Thanks :)

Ah, make the most of what we yet may spend,
Before we too into the Dust descend;
Dust into Dust, and under Dust to lie
Sans Wine, sans Song, sans Singer, and--sans End!
:iconsamhainstar:
You too! I'm glad I saw your thread. I've found so many great artists because of Gaia
